Price and specifications of the Nokia XR 21 phone

HMD Global has released its new Nokia XR 21, it's a phone that focuses on power by including a mid-range Snapdragon 695 processor and upping its screen quality with a 120Hz panel. It also offers higher resolution cameras, a larger battery, and all the certified resistances a mobile phone should have.

In fact, it has an IP69K certification, which is higher than the IP68 found in the Nokia XR 20, as it is a certification capable of withstanding high-pressure hot water jets. According to the manufacturer, it can even withstand a pressure washer!

Nokia XR 21 is made with an aluminum frame (100% recycled) and a polycarbonate back. Its screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and the entire phone can withstand drops from a height of 1.8 meters.

With IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD 810H certifications, the Nokia XR 21 is guaranteed to be completely impervious to dust and water and can withstand sudden changes in temperature.

In terms of hardware, it uses a Snapdragon 695 processor that offers mid-range power, 5G connectivity, and Wi-Fi 6. It is accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is more than enough for the average user.

It comes with a 6.49-inch screen with Full HD resolution, and although it is smaller than its predecessor in the 2021 Nokia XR 20, this time it is equipped with 120Hz refresh rate technology. Thanks to this, they provide greater fluidity to the image, which translates into a more pleasant experience on a daily basis.

It also includes a larger 4800 mAh battery that promises two days of autonomy and 33W fast charging. Of course, it does not have wireless charging.

Its cameras have also increased in size, or rather, in terms of resolution: it has a 64MP + 8MP (Ultra Wide Angle) rear camera and a 16MP front camera.

Other interesting features of the Nokia XR 21 are a 3.5mm jack, dual stereo speakers with OZO spatial audio, two customizable physical buttons, a side fingerprint scanner, NFC, dual SIM slots, eSIM support, and Android 12.

Nokia promises three major OS updates and four years of monthly security patches for this smartphone, so in terms of support, it is positioned as the best option in the mobile phone market.

At the moment, the Nokia XR 21 phone has been announced only for the United Kingdom, but it will reach the rest of the world's markets. It can be purchased from the official website of the brand for £ 499.99, equivalent to $ 566. It will only be available in black and green and in a single variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space.
