ZTE held a big launch event yesterday in China, where it announced its latest ZTE Axon 50 Ultra phone and a tablet (Axon Tab), both devices are equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and 80W charging. Here are the details.

ZTE Axon 50 Ultra specifications

The Axon 50 Ultra brings two-way satellite messaging over the Beidou Satellite (BDS) infrastructure with the ability to send and receive SMS messages in areas without adequate network connectivity.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and an upgraded ZTE security chip with hardware-level encryption.

The Axon 50 Ultra comes with a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

Regarding the cameras: the back of the phone includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 main sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

The phone is powered by the Android 13 system with the MyOS 13 interface, and it draws its energy from a large 5000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging, and prices and availability have not yet been provided.
