Do not buy these phones from Xiaomi
Once again, Xiaomi has once again updated the list of devices that are reaching the end of their support period and therefore will not receive any MIUI or Android updates. On this occasion, six new devices from the Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO families have been added.
This list is updated several times throughout the year, and we usually see how old phones are presented that no longer have official brand support after they were launched more than two or three years ago.
The changes, which are echoed by Xiaomi4mi, are reflected at the end of the support list that the company has published on its official website. In it, you can refer to all phones for which new updates are no longer being developed. As of today, the following phones have been added to the list and you should avoid buying them:
- Xiaomi 11 Lite
- Xiaomi Mi 10S
- POCO F3
- POCO F3 GT
- POCO X3 GT
- Redmi K40 Pro
- Redmi K40 Pro+
The same thing will happen with Android security patches so that vulnerabilities and security holes that may appear in the future are not patched.
This means that none of the seven phones above will be updated to the future version of MIUI which should arrive at the end of this year or the beginning of next 2024.
